Midterm review requirements

Drawings:

Format: keep drawings at a uniform sheet size (suggested size: 34”x22”)

Drawing Content:

- Diagrammatic studies of nature research (images, maps, drawings)
- Diagrammatic studies of fabric research
- Site research: local and neighborhood context
- Schematic Site organization and strategies at 1/32” and 1/64” scale:
o site organization (program, activities),
o site circulation (pass through, public, private …),
o surface qualities (pavement, grass, water, gravel, sand ….)
- Building strategies at 1/16” and 1/32”scale:
o schematic building plans
o section with indication of main spaces
o circulation (car access, public access, private access, egress ..)
- Structure / envelope concept; diagrammatic structure drawing of roof and support for the main pool space
o Focus on the simple principle of the structure and skin in section and in plan view
o Bring the structure system idea in relation with the site organization system


Models:

- “fabric” paper study models
o all relevant physical models (everyone should have multiple iteration of models by Monday)
o photographs thereof if useful, possibly with line drawings overlay
- site model insert: schematic
